The genealogical library is on the second floor of the San Luis Obispo Public Library. On days that the Public Library is open, our hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 AM to 3 PM. If you are coming from a great distance, please telephone 805-785-0383 ahead of time to be sure that we are available. Emergencies happen.
The SLOCGS librarians are available to do research using the many San Luis
Obispo County resources we have in our Genealogical Library. In
addition to those resources our librarians can search for birth,
marriage, death records and obituaries. We do ask for a donation of
$15.00 per hour ($13.00 for members). This includes the cost of copies. Please contact the SLO Genealogical Librarian by email. If you cannot contact by email, you must include a SASE with your letter of enquiry.
